Accessible as a course in Connect, the Arts Co-op Hub is an online collection of resources to support your success in co-op.

The Arts Co-op Hub includes:

  • Online Student Guide – writing effective applications, interviewing for success, portfolios, and more
  • Relocation Resources – information by city, including tips on housing, transportation, and things to do
  • Insider's Guide – work term profiles that cover responsibilities, challenges and tips written by co-op students on the job

Finding your success in co-op can be easier if you know where to look for support, so take advantage of the resources in the Hub.

For each co-op work term, you are required to complete and submit several Work Term Professional Development Projects through Connect.

You can access this at the start of the term through Connect once you are registered in your ASTU course.

Each year, we honour 1 undergrad and 2 iSchool students as our Arts Co-op Students of the Year.

What’s in it for you? As the winner, you’d receive a $1000 award, recognition on your transcript, and an impressive line to add to your resume.

Check the undergrad and iSchool pages for details and when and how to apply.

Arts Co-op Students’ Association (ACSA)

The Arts Co-op Students’ Association (ACSA) is an AMS club that recognizes the need to bring co-op students together and strives to create a community where Arts Co-op students can relate.

In addition to acting as liaisons between students and co-op staff, the ACSA Chairs and Associates manage portfolios such as social-event planning, professional development, mentorship, finance, promotions, publishing, and web development.

How to Get Involved with ACSA

Develop your interpersonal, networking, organizational, and communications skills. Meet and work with other students in the program and liaise with employers and faculty members. If you’re interested in joining ACSA, send an e-mail to acsacoordinator@gmail.com.
