UBC’s First PhD Co-op Program

The UBC English Graduate Program, one of the most vibrant and wide-ranging in Canada, has been awarding the PhD degree since 1962 and is the only Program at UBC to provide employers access to PhD co-op students.

Types of Work English PhD Students Perform

This Program is designed to provide employers in fields such as, communications, project management, academic administration, and archival, government, and NGO research, exclusive access to highly skilled researchers and writers at the PhD level.

English PhD students can take on larger, more complex work that could not be assigned to undergraduate students.
