Before you take your first steps as an Arts Co-op student, learn how to build the professional you and shine in the workplace. The Illuminate training conferences provide Arts Co-op students with the skills to land jobs and excel in the workplace in co-op and beyond.
November 2011 Conference: Light Up Your Brand
January 2012 Conference: Shining in the Workplace
During the conference workshops, you will learn skills to:
- Write effective resumes and cover letters
- Interview at your best
- Succeed in the workplace
In addition to these practical skills, the conference will also help you identify strengths, passions and areas for further development. All this will not only help you find co-op positions that are related to your interests and academics, but they will also be extremely useful in your post-graduation job hunt.
Illuminate is a chance for you to network with other students, alumni and co-op staff, as well as make valuable connections with employers who will give the inside scoop on what they are looking for in applicants. The knowledge and skills you gain at Illuminate will help you make the most of your co-op experience and kick start your success in the working world.
The Illuminate conferences are brought to you by the Arts Co-op Program and co-facilitated by the Arts Co-op Students’ Association (ACSA). To learn more about the teams, see bios for the Arts Co-op staff and the ACSA executive team.
