Job Search Skills for the Policy Professions

“Job Search Skills for the Policy Professions” is a day-long interactive conference to support the 2016 MPPGA cohort to be ready to compete for summer positions, maximize career development opportunities throughout your degree program, and to lay the foundation for a successful career in the policy professions after graduation.

The conference is open to all MPPGA 2016 students, and mandatory for those in the co-op program. You will learn strategies for developing and maintaining your professional network, writing effective, customized applications for policy positions, and gain insights into the varied approaches to interviewing across different sectors.

The day culminates in a networking reception for both the 2015 and 2016 MPPGA cohorts. At the reception you will meet with over 20 policy professionals from a range of sectors to gain insights into their career paths, and get tips for your own career development.
