Stephanie is our 2018/2019 Honourable Mention for iSchool MLIS Co-op Student of the Year. As a Youth Services Librarian at the North Memorial Branch, Stephanie shined while planning and delivering youth programs.

Nicole is our 2018/2019 iSchool MAS Co-op Student of the Year, recognized for her work term with Murney Tower Museum (MTM), where her efforts to modernize how the museum organizes its collections will greatly impact MTM in many ways.

Ruby is our 2018/2019 Honourable Mention for iSchool MAS Co-op Student of the Year. During her term at Deloitte, Ruby worked on the transition to paper-lite business operations by preparing paper audit records for future dispositions.

Rhiannon is our 2018/2019 iSchool MLIS Co-op Student of the Year, honoured for her work term with the Invermere Public Library, where she planned and co-facilitated the 2019 Summer Reading Club.

During his Co-op experiences in rewarding public service roles, Christopher found his passion for working with public policy and library operations that propelled him into the management positions he currently holds.

Zoe’s passion for archiving led her to an exciting co-op opportunity in the cultural heritage site of the Barkerville Historic Town and Park, in which she formed a better understanding of what it means to be an information professional.

Nicole is now able to professionally curate exhibitions and create digital writing content since completing her co-op term with the University of Victoria’s Special Collections and University Archives Department.

After completing her co-op term at the Bamfield Marine Science Centre library, Yvette has grown her skills in data management and collection development that will help her feel confident in future careers.

Through co-op, Stephanie gained hands-on knowledge and learned what it is like to work in an academic library – all of which she could not have learned in the classroom alone.

Through co-op, Jessica was able to pave the way to her current position, gaining what she calls “invaluable experiences” each step along the way.
