Through Ryley’s co-op experiences, she has gained skills and experience in fundraising in non-profit organizations, which is one of her long term career goals.

Simon credits both his classes and co-op for preparing him for the workplace. His Sociology background, coupled with the experience and skills gained through his co-op work terms, gave him the confidence to relocate and find work in a new country post-graduation.

Maryn Wallace worked at the BC Lung Association, Law Courts education Society of BC (now Justice Education Society of BC), and Richmond Society for Community Living. Her co-op experiences gave her valuable time management, problem solving, communication, and relationship development skills which help her in the position today at the UBC Development Office.

Jasmine stumbled upon her passion through exploring different co-op opportunities and uncovered a passion for student programming that shaped the rest of her university experience and influenced her professional career.

Meghan Chapman, was described as “the best of the best” out of hundreds of university students Timothy Meyer at TRIUMF had supervised.
