Rishabh’s experience at UGM taught him how success can be achieved in the professional world through different skills including data management, event planning, and teamwork.

Ashwini is our 2018 Undergraduate Co-op Student of the Year Honourable Mention, recognized for her work term with TRIUMF. Ashwini feels that working at TRIUMF taught her how diverse the communications field is, and because of her team’s support, guidance, and mentorship, she has found a new passion for public relations.

Samantha Markham received an Honourable Mention for the Undergraduate Student of the Year award. Through co-op Sam has been able to reach her dream of working for Harbour Publishing after graduation.

Through Ryley’s co-op experiences, she has gained skills and experience in fundraising in non-profit organizations, which is one of her long term career goals.

Maryn Wallace worked at the BC Lung Association, Law Courts education Society of BC (now Justice Education Society of BC), and Richmond Society for Community Living. Her co-op experiences gave her valuable time management, problem solving, communication, and relationship development skills which help her in the position today at the UBC Development Office.

What Mike truly remembers from this position with the BC Ministry of Environment is presenting to his colleagues information about climate change; an exciting and intimidating experience as most of his audience had graduate degrees in relevant scientific disciplines and he was presenting highly technical information.

Peter Lee worked at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT) for his co-op terms, which closely aligned with his own studies and his future career goals.
