Current Students

If you are a current graduate Arts Co-op student, we’ve compiled a list of resources and opportunities for you.

Apply for Co-op Jobs

Access Symplicity online to search for co-op job openings, apply to positions, schedule interviews, and access ongoing co-op news and announcements.

Arts Co-op Hub

The Arts Co-op Hub is an online collection of resources to support your success in the Co-op Program.

Available as a course in Canvas, the Arts Co-op Hub includes:

  • Detailed guides for key stages in co-op: searching for a co-op job, preparing for a work term, and succeeding in a work term.
  • Resources for graduating students, including ways to continue career exploration and how to search for jobs after co-op.

Complete Work Term Projects

For each co-op work term, you are required to complete and submit several Work Term Professional Development Projects through Canvas.

You can access this at the start of the term through Canvas once you are registered in your ASTU course.

Arts Co-op Student of the Year

Each year, we honour one undergraduate and two UBC iSchool students as our Arts Co-op Students of the Year.

For UBC iSchool students, there are two annual awards of $1000: one to a MLIS or Dual student (who used their MLIS background on the co-op job) and the other to a MAS or Dual student (who used their MAS background on the co-op job).

Winners also receive recognition on their transcripts.

Applications for the 2022/2023 award are closed. Information for the 2023/2024 award will be announced in fall 2024.
