About
Anna was part of the Arts Co-op Program’s inaugural student cohort and has been a full-time staff member with the program since 2008. She brings a broad professional background spanning program coordination, librarianship, communications, and administration. Her experience also includes extensive involvement in international exchange programs and more than two decades of work at UBC, collaborating with numerous departments and programs.
Her connection to Arts Co-op began in 2001 when she completed a work term as a shared Communications Assistant with the Dean of Arts Office. She later held co-op positions as a Technical Communicator with TELUS Enterprise Solutions and as an Academic Office Assistant at the YMCA International College. During her Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) at UBC, Anna completed her practicum and professional experience at the Vancouver Art Gallery Library, coordinated Vancouver Public Library’s Summer Readalong Program, and worked as a work‑study student, managing the Department of Linguistics’ Reading Room.
Anna has supported both undergraduate and graduate students throughout her career. She oversaw the iSchool co-op program for many years and played a key role in launching Arts Co-op’s MPPGA and PhD co-op programs. She was also seconded for a year to UBC’s Centre for Community Engaged Learning (CCEL) as a Community Engaged Learning Officer. Since 2021, she has focused on running and improving the operations side of the Arts Co-op Program.
Beyond UBC, Anna has been an active contributor to the broader work-integrated learning community. She has served in multiple leadership roles with the Association for Co-operative Education and Work-Integrated Learning BC/Yukon (ACE-WIL), including Past President, President, and Co-Chair and Member of the Professional Development Committee. She has also contributed to Co-operative Education and Work-Integrated Learning Canada (CEWIL) as the BC & Yukon Regional Representative and as a Member of the Student Awards Committee. In addition, she has represented ACE-WIL and CEWIL on the BC Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Council.
