About

Jane joined the Arts Co-op team as Co-op Education Manager for the UBC iSchool in December 2021. Her extensive experience as a manager in the information sector has given Jane insight into job seeking, as well as recruitment and hiring practices. Jane was previously Chief Librarian at the Vancouver Art Gallery, with responsibility for the art reference library and archives. She spent a decade in the UK, where she served as Faculty Librarian, Modern & Medieval Languages & Linguistics Library, University of Cambridge and was a collections development manager at Screen Archive South East, University of Brighton. She was also a research fellow with the Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning through Design (CETLD), University of Brighton. For seven years, Jane served as Architecture/Art Librarian at the University of Notre Dame, Indiana and she worked in Montreal as the Information Services & Systems Librarian for the National Film Board of Canada/Office national du film du Canada. Jane has also worked as both a librarian and a library assistant at the Vancouver Public Library’s Central Branch.
