As a Communication Assistant, Marleigh combined her research and writing skills to create and recommend ideas for accessible and inclusive public education materials for Canada’s new Earthquake Early Warning program, with a focus on Indigenous and other equity deserving groups. She conducted research on global messaging effectiveness, edited government documents for clarity and inclusivity, and designed informative displays blending Indigenous knowledge with scientific insights. Marleigh also actively engaged communities and promoted earthquake preparedness by hosting booths at events like the Yellow Wolf Pow Wow.
